Well, yes and no. Even when project blue book closed due to "lack of evidence" there were still unexplained sightings. UFOs are still a matter of faith like ghosts. Personally, the kid inside me loves the idea, though I'm equally terrified by the notion of a technologically superior race landing on Earth and choosing what to do next. There are compelling videos to hang your faith on, but they're not hard evidence as a result of their not being replicable and falsifiable. And then there's always Occam's Razor to consider. That's what I teach my students to consider.
