True. It is a strong message and a stark choice our country faces. Being that there seems to be more even keel democrats and independents than republicans in America (take away the electoral college and I'm not sure republicans see the inside of the oval office again), I think we'll keep Trump out of office again. There is a bigger, more looming question, though: how in the hell can so many Americans think that Trump and his ilk are OK? As a teacher, I see this as an education deficit, and the classroom is perhaps where it can be combatted. But my fellow educators are by and large incapable and unwilling to think about serious critical thinking education. And our leaders are too beholden to state standards. The dearth of creative educating going on in our schools will just keep creating more lemmings. A strong Democrat is the ONLY political animal to right this ship, but as you say, they are too weak, intellectual and mealy-mouthed to inspire. Intellectual and hard working are exactly what you want after an election, but eloquent liars are what you need during campaign season.
