The tit-for-tat you and others advocate for is childish nonsense. Israel is a nation capable of probably defeating most of the combined armies of the middle east. So Hamas paraglides in there and starts shooting civilians? And now it's sad that their country is getting obliterated? That's life, man. They could have peace with Israel with the two state solution but they have utterly refused it since its inception. So, war it is.
