People look down on public school teachers. They say they don't want our jobs. They want to be influencers because, as Umair says, the life seems so easy and care free. But if you can live within your means, you know who just had a ten week carefree vacation? Me. No pressure. No stress. Do I wish I had more money? Sure. But I have enough. People who like their jobs and find meaning in them, who have a nice home, a lovely spouse, good kids--you know, what some call the American Dream--actually have the happiest lives. If this is what people actually want, then the answer is simple: stop groveling for broken people's fractured attention spans and do something with your life that fulfills you.
