It's why I never became a principal. I'd be no good staying within the confines of my role. I'd want to try new things and I'd be constantly put back into place until eventually I was fired. Especially in a district like mine that serves primarily privileged kids. Being winners of the lottery of life, they see no room or reason for improvement. It's a cushy, tenured job. I just don't know why I can't settle into it and be happy.
