I see pain, death and blood in America's not so distant future, exacerbated by the deteriorating climate and probable future pandemics. Our politics are in the shitter now. At this point it wouldn't matter if all the obfuscating politicians were suddenly abducted by aliens. The damage to the American psyche has been done. History teaches that humans don't learn from history. So a sufficient amount of blood will need to be spilled (AGAIN) to get everyone's heads put back on right and start working for the people again. But only government, as I said, can make truly lasting and valuable changes... Just as only government can screw people as deeply as they have. Not saying this is you, but I get a hearty laugh whenever I hear a conservative say that you have to shrink government and deregulate business so it can lead us to, I guess, a better future for America. (Watch The Big Short for an entertaining look at why that's humanly impossible). But I also get a hearty laugh whenever I watch Leftists attack the Right for causing all that ails us. They may have a point on many issues, but their pitbull tactics only serve to alienate people not persuade them. I don't know how to do it short of asking people to please stop, but if constant berating of our politics and those who choose to serve doesn't ease up, then we'll never EVER get out of the ethical and moral morass we're stuck in now in Washington and many state houses. We have GOT to find common ground on some basic precepts of government and leadership, because if we don't, who is ever going to want to serve this country idealistically? By that mean, try to live up to our nation's ideals. If we forever think of our government as a cesspool, then only shit heads will want to serve in it.
