I loved writing in the eighties and nineties, where I developed my voice. It was just reading fiction and writing fiction. If you needed research, you went to the library. And you didn't waste your time when you got there. You did your business and went home to write. We authors have all we ever need to become better writers... each other and our published work. All the rest, my friends, is distracting crap.
