I don't think I've ever seen Norm, but the Norms of the world are getting fewer and farther between. I teach second grade. I have a poster in my classroom that says I'm Not Telling You It's Going To Be Easy, But It Will Be Worth It. It's not just up there for decoration, either. When the kids are moaning about something being hard, I point to that poster and remind them of what I said on the first day of school.
