I don't disagree. But it seems so predictable to me that Hamas poking the bear, so to speak, was going to trigger a violent response. The psychology of the modern Jew has no doubt been heavily influenced by the Holocaust and the need for a safe space that aggression against them would not be tolerated. If this was Hamas' goal in the first place, to incite a war, then mission accomplished. But they were never going to win it, and their people were going to be killed. Again, if I can sit here in comfy suburbia and see that coming, they surely could too. Iran will supply them, as they have all along. The war is on, sadly.
