I disagree. Look at American politics now. Its utter disregard, particularly on the right, for truth and even simple facts. It’s a clear case of self-delusion, and people literally died from it during the pandemic. If a large segment of society can’t reasonably function with others on simple and obvious needs, how the hell will humans tackle these existential problems?
