Here's one way to preserve it. Stop using A.I. Just. Stop. Using. It. I've never visited a favorite website and, upon finding out it wasn't powered by A.I., thought to myself, "Fuck this, I'm leaving."

Here's what any site with conceits like Quora should do. First, anyone who joins must list their bona fides and what field they're an expert in. Next, prevent everyone from answering a question not in their specialized field. Lawyers would share knowledge on legal matters. Biologists, biology. I'm a public school teacher; I can share insight and knowledge on the workings of a public school classroom. The site owners can make money from advertisement. The rest of us earn gratification from sharing and acquiring knowledge. Also Quora should block all repetitive questions, period. If it's been answered, why post it again? To whose benefit is that?

A final thought: I find it ironic, almost satirical, that the ones creating AI are often the ones warning us about it.
