Bravo. As a teacher myself of Special Education students, I can attest to the fact that many of these kids are miserable in school and do not want to do the dance. They should be allowed to enter some alternative program. My district has one but only for a choice few. There shouldn't be a stigma around it. It's fine if you're not a scholar...but it's not fine for society to pretend the kids are something they're not. Our egalitarian society can't stand the notion. We pity the kids who can't be in the classroom with their peers. It's nonsense and it's making schools dangerous for everybody.
