Are you really? The lack of freedom to move at will around the continent boggles the mind. All the borders, the rules, and the inevitable sharing of resources that would have to happen here in America would just bring people back to the realization...that they were better off just being one nation.

After all, whose sovereignty here is really being abused? We're Americans. Yes, we call ourselves African-Americans and so on, and yes, insidious racism has always plagued a country that built its fortunes on the backs of black slaves. But it is only in people's imaginations that they can't move out about as citizens of America via New York or Massachusetts or Oregon.

People who are discussing seceding from the U.S. aren't saying it from a point of rationality. They are just misguided mostly by their ignorant and wrongheaded political leaders. Life in America has never been safer and more prosperous than it is now. That said, it IS a different America, prosperity-wise, for blacks. I don't see you saying that we need a black nation and a white nation, however. We just need a nation where people get their heads out of their asses (looking at you Texas and Florida) and get off their goddamn phones. If everyone took a look around (I mean with their eyes, not their phones) they'd see this place isn't so bad after all.
