Are we or are we not conscious entities? When I think of this topic, I wonder about the "having" and the "being" of something. We seem to be conscious, so one could say we are consciousness, or conscious beings. If we ARE conscious beings, then we do not HAVE consciousness. We are not bags of bones whose brains are giving us conscious experiences. Being in control of our mind may just be an illusion since we appear to be, in totality, a consciousness residing in a physical body so that we may interact on a physical plane. It matters not whether we are pulling the strings or having our strings pulled, since the puppet can never know the puppeteer in this world.
