Any white person who doesn't understand how their whiteness is a huge stroke of luck in this world is either willfully ignorant or just plain stupid. There may be, to a certain extent, a meritocracy within racial groups or genders (i.e. which of the white guys at the firm is going to earn the promotion?), but a black man or woman? Their starting blocks in life are well behind the white folks.
