Absolutely. When a website like Quora is developed where the compensation is in the gratification of teaching and learning, then we'll have something special. I've no doubt it can be done as a labor of love by an independently wealthy philanthropist, or by someone else clever enough to earn income from the site for him/herself and work full time to protect it from its demons.
